What's In A Title?

The blog title is my take on my favourite quote from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novel, when Bella realises she is in love with vampire Edward. My version is slightly less impressive than that in the book but never the less true:

"About three things I was absolutely positive, first I was an obsessed crafter, second, there was a part of me - and I didn't know how potent that part might be, that thirsted for beautiful craft materials, dies, stamps, papers, cardstock etc, and third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with scrapbooking and cardmaking"

Old Stash, New Stash SU!

I was flicking through UK Scrappers yesterday and saw a new monthly project where a sketch is given and you create a layout using any old stash and later in the month you do another layout using any Stampin' Up! stash you have, which I have loads of cos they keep bringing out better and better designs all the time so I buy more without using up all my older stuff.  I did the first part of the project today creating the above layout using some sheets of left over Bo Bunny papers from a year or two back.  The photo as ever is my friend's son, James and this layout will be going in his baby album.  The card at the top of this post I made using the scraps of patterned paper left over from the layout.  I stamped the owl onto some of the patterned paper too and cut out different parts which I then layered up on the base oval.  I added a scrap of matching ribbon and a greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I am now digging through my Stampin' Up! papers so I can make a start on the second part of the project tomorrow evening.

Apparently it's only 33 days until the Scrapstars Retreat in Bramhope, Leeds.  I can't wait to see what amazing projects the teachers have come up with this year.  They get better retreat after retreat and I bet it's no different this time.  If you want any details go to www.scrapstars.co.uk
