What's In A Title?

The blog title is my take on my favourite quote from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novel, when Bella realises she is in love with vampire Edward. My version is slightly less impressive than that in the book but never the less true:

"About three things I was absolutely positive, first I was an obsessed crafter, second, there was a part of me - and I didn't know how potent that part might be, that thirsted for beautiful craft materials, dies, stamps, papers, cardstock etc, and third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with scrapbooking and cardmaking"

Me in '68

Yesterday Kathy and I went to Caroline's for a crafting day. We talked the morning away and had a lovely lunch including an amazing, huge strawberry and cream filled sponge cake Kathy had made. In the afternoon Caroline and I started a Graphic 45 mini album and Kathy was working on a layout. When we were packing up to leave I noticed Kathy had been pulling a layout apart and redoing it in slightly different papers and the discarded sheet of paper was in the bin looking a bit shabby, with torn areas and areas covered in tacky glue. I liked the floral design on the paper so I pinched it out of the bin. I cut the elements from one side of the sheet and a rectangle from the floral pattern on the other side. I added a sheet of cream cardstock and a scrap of real red cardstock and created this photography themed layout using a photograph of me when I was 18 months old. The camera stamp is From a really old Stampin Up set I bought a while back from eBay and the text stamp is by Technique Tuesday.
